I wrote everything I said in that video myself, and I can't stress enough how important it is. When I say people are like snow, I wasn't kidding.
In life, we're all chasing after our own dreams, following our own path to whatever makes us happy. It could be photography and writing, like me, or something completely different, say sports or cooking. Whatever it is, we're always determined to get to the top right? Some people believe this is easy, but getting to the top is never easy, nor should it be our main goal in life. We should always strive for absolute happiness above all. And sometimes it takes a while for people to realize that. That's where we crash and burn, striving for something that only brings us lower and lower as a human being.
This "unachievable" goal and other problems that hit along the way drag us down and down, just like the wind, or even gravity. But that doesn't mean all dreams are done for, that's not what I'm saying.
If you take the time to discover what aspects of your dream you should really be chasing after, it'll make life a lot easier and you a lot happier in the long run. Snow is a funny thing, and it falls in the strangest of places. But what I'm trying to stress to you, is that you can either land on top of the mountain, or stranded at the bottom.
Sometimes the outcome is just by pure luck, but other times its hard work, and not letting that wind and gravity knock you down along the way. Find a way to rise to the top without letting your priorities fall to the ground below.
"Letting Go of the Cold"
We all have a dream,
some say too big to chase, just stop trying.
Sometimes we listen to the doubt
that rings through the air on a cold night.
The negative is what causes the cold
It causes the darkness,
the silence that quiets even the loudest of dreams.
Don't listen to the negatives,
allow yourself to be one with happiness,
and find your light even on that dark night.
Make yourself visible in a clouded world,
and don't let anyone stop you along the way.
Love,
Olivia Marie
